“Hmm... dark elves. Always had some problems with em, wonder if playing norse helps. Gotta smash em into bits!

We have a fan advantage for the match, and they didn't forget to bring rocks as the fans stun a witch elf right on first kickoff. I try to go full contact on my first turn to make em feel the heat a bit and make some kinda mistake :). A dark elven loner knocks himself down on a block and we get an opening for a blitz for the ball. Their thrower has surprise dump-off however and we fail positioning for that. They get a blitzer deep and it's easy for him to dodge away and score on turn 4. We get a touchback, but our star blitzer gets knocked out early on the next drive. I still advance with the ball at a steady rate but don't get as many blocks on those pesky dodging elves as I'd like to. I get a runner up there, but they get a blitzer with SS and dodge next to him. Without tackle in sight I find it very difficult to get him off. Finally on my turn 7 I manage to force him off and make the TD for 1-1.

2nd half and all 3 elves stay knocked out while both of mine recover. Got lucky there. I also get two elves seriously injured on my 1st turn. turn 3 I'm only facing 5 elves on the field vs 9 norse so it's getting a bit onesided. Our blows continue to be mighty and soon there's no resistance left for the elves and we think it's the only reasonable thing to do to stall till the end as elves can always score if they get a few KOs back :D I score on turn 8 and even get a blitz! on their last kickoff to take any hopes of an OTT away.

My guys have been performing well on the bash for a while now and this game wasn't an exception. The armor and injury dice kinda made the game and to start the 2nd half with 3 guys shy was too big a blow for the elves. Good game nevertheless and the chat was nice throughout.
