“A good performance today though the Norse lost their bloodlust and lay down in the second half.
First drive started well as we soon ko'd a couple and badly hurt a Beserker. Swan moved up with the ball eventually scoring in turn 5 when the Norse threatened. They returned immediately with a great passing move with their agile thrower showing his skills. But that gave us two turns to score. A reorganised kicking side made it tricky but we manouvered Edge clearer and his blodge helped evade the blitz and make the score. On the Iceblood Avengers kick a fanatic of ours from the crowd hurled a rock straight between Matai's eyes which ko'd the ice troll for the rest of the match!
Next half the Norse passer did a good job and they scored in 2 turns again. But with Elves up on numbers coach Burzum gave up the following defence when Telves joined the badly hurt list and we had a central cage. The Norse lay down and after a bit of ball juggling Cleon took the ball and scored with disdain while Burzum disappeared just before final whistle. We also badly hurt their thrower with a foul but couldn't quite break the blighter's arm.”
