A great surprise to see a Vampire team facing a Slann one in a Blackbox major. Both came here to spank those clawmbpo coaches, but we had to face each other in a ballstealing challenge. While the Vampires proved to be far more dangerous for the ball, the frogs managed to survive a pair of attacks on the ballcarrier which gave them a nice edge, despite ending the 1st half 2-1 for Principi.
On 2nd half I had the clear impression that the frogs had the chance to grind until turn 16 and win it because of players numbers on overtime, and I truly felt the match was gone. But coach happygrue tried the fast win, still having the wizard in his pocket. Then even our ballcarrier proved to be hard to catch and dodged the lightning bolt, allowing the vampires to attempt some kind of running touchdown: but frogs' amazing tackling abilities revealed themselves despite our absurd agility. This generated a struggle ended with an heavy-rolling situation. Cesare Borgia showed here to be as much a Pro as his reputation tells, landing a shiny pass after a crazy hard ball recovery. It was won, not without hard injuries and not without some doubt about our efficiency. But it was won!!!
Thanks to happygrue for the friendly chat and the fun game.”
