“For the first time, the brutal Kingpins failed to modernize faces. While they did KO various players, often at key times, none stayed asleep; and Montallegro couldn't cause any more damage than that. However, Montallegro managed to get 2 touchdowns in the first half; but due to the amazing prowess of Stefano Montallegro (and probably Maria as well, silly catcher), San Martino managed a score bringing it to 2-1 at half-time.
On the other hand, the blizzard in the second half badly hurt Sofia San Martino from the Kingpins, and Genessio San Martino of the Good Fellas. Genessio's slip was instrumental in the winning touchdown with no re-rolls left; if he hadn't slipped he would have forced either a 3+ dodge, or a 1d blitz to score. As it was, Luca Licatta was able to come to the aid of Tommaso Trapani, successfully dodging on the ice in order to allow a 2d blitz from Tommaso to score. Earlier in the half, Mario Trapani coasted through to an effortless touchdown after being left all alone on the northern half; Maria managed to escape the huge scrum on the south sideline and pass to the lonely blitzer, which made the score 2-2.
Both Trapani blitzers then walked away with MVPs! Almost like their touchdowns were somehow THEIR doing. Blasted Trapani.
The ref was almost as bad as the Trapani show-hoggers. Only 2 fouls attempted, both by Montallegro. One was against a linemen with 6 assists; and the ref threw the Montallegro out, even though San Martino's armour wasn't scratched! The second was against Maria with 3 assists, and again, no damage, but the ref sent Montallegro out again!
Thanks for the game zakatan!”
