FGB won the coin toss and chose to receive. They struck first taking out two Skeletons on the opening blocks. AN would counter with some devastating fouls that seriously injured a couple Norsemen. Grant the Great led the attack commanding the Norse forces after Lord Drade was badly hurt. Tarrant had two eye opening killing blows in the first half that had the crowd up on their feet. Seph landed the "Norseman's Elbow" to good effect. Grant almost killed a POMB Tomb Guardian but it managed to regenerate itself on the bench. The Norse attack put the Khemri forces on their heels and they were soon overwhelmed leaving only a Guardian and two Skeletons on the pitch. Surrel would walk in the touchdown to put his team up by one at the break.
AN received in the second half and they wanted some payback. Eight FGB players were on the field against a full compliment of Khemri. Tarrant dodged past the front lines with Konan going around the right flank. Grant held the middle against several players drawing plenty of attention from the dirty Skeletons. He was able to keep the majority of the Khemri team busy while Tarrant and Konan pressured the ballcarrier. Tarrant made a big play when he KO'ed a Tomb Guardian freeing up Konan. The Ulf would sack the Blitz-Ra ballcarrier sending the ball bouncing. Tarrant dodged away and snatched the ball running towards the left side of the field. Meanwhile, Grant was finally overwhelmed by four Skeletons and a Tomb Guardian. The Legendary Berserker was beaten to the ground and brought to the brink of death. The Wishmaster quickly sent out his medics and they fought their way through to get to the #1 Norse Star in the Division. Thankfully, he was carried out of there still breathing but he was in critical condition. The Great One's sacrifice was enough as Tarrant dodged away and ran into the end zone to put his team up by two and secure the victory.
