But elsewhere the Heroes themselves were brutalised; two fine linemen were left cripped and Valeria the thrower was killed outright.

The game turned on the second half with the score 1 - 1, when not one of the four unconcious Heroes recovered. Outnumbered, it was up to Conan to lead the line! He piled onto everyone and everything, KOing several Northstars and leaving a lineman badly hurt. His vicious fighting style created a space for Born to Run to chase down the stalling Northstar thrower and sack him. However, an unfavourable throw back from the crowd followed by a 1 dice re-rolled into a skull blitz meant that the Heroes could not stop the Northstars sneaking the win.
