#11 Gimp – Groin Strain (MNG)
Speaking to Coach Creekmoor at the end of the match, Coach Hepworthnot said "You don't set the world alight, do you?" Well, maybe not, but as Bob Dylan would say, the times they are a-changing.
You only have to look at the stats to see who set this particular game alight - 22 yards rushing and 45 blocks, plus one wimpy Norseman very fortunately brough back to life by the Raiders apothecary - not to mention ball possession percentage. The only thing puzzling the experts is how the Steelers lost the game.
Well, this reporter can throw some light on that issue - one mistake. That was the difference. One schoolboy error very early on in the match let the Raiders in with a lovely throw and catch combo to run through for an easy TD. A careless move into a tackle zone and next thing they knew, the Steelers were behind.
Mind you, I don't think anyone would disagree that, after the early score, they dominated the rest of the match. Even when they didn't have the ball, which wasn't very often, they seemed in control. And they came mightily close to getting a much deserved equaliser late on in the game with a superbly crafted turnaround of possession and a quick march deep into Raiders territory.
Alas, on this occasion, it wasn't to be.
Setting the world alight? Well, not just yet, but the kindling has been gathered, and it's lovely and dry, and there's a box of fireworks in the shed....

Greetings sports fans.
Let's hope that Creekmoor's brand of anti-bloodbowl will soon be assigned to the archives. It seems he missed the class on points of the game which are
A) score lots of touchdowns,
B) play in an exhilarating manner,
C) win more than once every Preston Guild.
Truth be told this wasn't a great game. The Raiders were clearly rusty after a three year layoff but they played their part. They demonstrated what a beautifully simple game BB is. Picked the ball, broke a tackle, passed the ball, caught the ball and ran over the whitewash unopposed. Time on the clock? Two turns.

It took Cesspit Sheilas another 17 turns to fail to put a single memorable move together.

Vhal provided the one spark of genius - leaping over an opponent to get the ball picking it up off the bootstraps of three awestruck orcs.

In order of performance it was:
1) the Raiders
2) their fans whose singing was worth 2 re-rolls
3) the apothecary
4) the Sheilas
