“It was fitting that the weather roll was snow for the match with the dark elf team, Himalaya Boys. I must admit, I breath a sigh of relief every time the Box assigns me an opponent without Mighty Blow and some AV7 players to target. Here, both witch elves looked like top priority.
The Dark elves received the ball and were given a clear path to the endzone as the human squad elected to tie up half the team near the LoS to get the bash fest underway.
As the elves passed by, the human blitzers spotted an oppertunity to get the ball carrier into a few tackle zones with a well executed blitz. The begining of turn 3 saw the witch elf ball carrier next to a human blitzer with Guard/Tackle as well as the Diving Tackle super-star, Crom 'de la Crem' Cuinard. The second witch elf attempted to blitz her partner free, only to become a casualty of Crom's sneaky diving tackle skill, well hidden down the list under catch, dodge, block, +AG, side step and leap. The next block put the second witch MNG and Crom was off to the races with the ball.
A flurry of AG5 elf magic saw Crom side-step away from a 2DB push, re-rolled to another push. After that Crom was 8 squares down the field, well defended, and the elf coach was throwing in the towel.
The concession cash infusion makes me decide to finally dump the PERMA-JOURNEYMAN squad and buy all four Loners at once. I have a few critical games left in my Conference sprint and I might actually need a lineman to re-roll something soon. Welcome to the Kruelty guys.”
