Turn 1: First Block: Smashed Collar! Apo to the rescue.. KILLS the elf, so he may die with his honour intact. First Blitz: Dead Elf!
Turn 2: First snake eyed dodge attempt.
This continues on for most of the game. Four snake eyed dodge attempts. My guard Elf killed late in the second half. My loner caused 4 turnovers (none of which were the dodges, nor were any single die blocks.)
[K]iller Angels scored midway through the second half; and although Winter Whispers valiantly tried, Brian Goldhawk double skulled on the final block to free the ball (only a push required), so no pass attempt could be made to score.
Recieving in the second half, Winter Whispers ran multiple dodge linemen deep into Killer territory; Snow Flake handed off to Haunting Night, Crystal Air dodged the two amazons covering him to run to the end zone, and Haunting Night passed for a turn 2 touchdown.
The [K]illers proceeded to smash their down the field - 2 KO'd elves (including Glittering Ice, the only elven tackler, for the second time) and a badly hurt elf (as well as the third death) meant there were virtually no elves to stop the touchdown. But Black Ice harassed and harassed and harassed, and if nuffle had been kind enough to let an amazon fail a dodge even once, the touchdown could concievably been prevented. Or if Black Ice had not skulled every time he attempted to blitz the ball carrier (after being forced to use team re-rolls on failed go for it's to reach the ball carrier). Or if he had not been powed almost every time he was blocked. No other elves could even get close enough to threaten the ball, as multitude of amazons covered their prone bodies throughout, although Snow Flake managed to stay upright .. deep in the amazon back field just in case some crazy elf magic happened that might permit a long bomb pass.
NUFFLE I CURSE THEE!
But Nuffle I praise thee, for not permanently injuring any blitzers, throwers, or catchers this game!
And it was a challenging game, and Winter Whispers tried throughout to do their best. And most importantly!
PitchMaster was a good opponent to play against! Thanks for the game!”
