“Red Blood, seemingly invincible in their opening 14 games, had been on a disastrous run that saw 7 games without a win and just 2 wins in the last 11.

What better way to address the situation than enter a tournament and give the lads - or, should I say, lifeless lumps of undead meat - something to be motivated by? So into the Undead XFL VII goes Red Blood!

The game was highly competitive from beginning to end. With regeneration working for both teams and knockouts proving easy enough to recover from, it was a near full compliment of players competing in both halves and then overtime. The carnage was not helped by a strict referee who kept sticking his nose in the game whenever either side attempted a foul.

In the end, when a team is down on its luck like Red Blood, you need a little luck to beginning digging out of that hole. With Anti Cremation League receiving and driving well in overtime, there was just one last bit to go. Their agile wight simply had to make a couple of dodges and a go for it, and with room for slipping up too (a reroll). He failed the first dodge, got a helping hand, made it, then failed the second dodge. We gratefully scooped up the ball and dashed clear to win.
