“1 badly hurt, 2 serious injuries, and 1 dead. That's about the ratio I have come to expect. I have also come to expect that the badly hurt is a skill-less or single-skill zombie, whereas the serious injuries and dead are good or expensive players.

Wulang Staff's injury was the most annoying. 3 failed 2+ dodges in 3 consecutive turns, the final dodge being his demise as it left our star wolf niggled. It won't retire him - by nature, this speedy agile wolf is more of a hunter than the hunted, but it is frustrating all the same and likely speeds up his eventual end.

This was a game of 2 halves. It looked very promising when, despite a blitz, our opening block seriously injured the troll. That was as good as it got as the orcs beat us down for 8 turns, killing Yang Guo (do ghouls do anything but die?), maiming Kunlun Toad (who regenerated) and, when Wulang Staff failed a 2+ to break away for the lead, our chance was gone and the time that remained was there for the annoying, yet comical, self inflicted injury for the wolf.

The 2nd half, despite missing the wolf and a skilled ghoul, the zombies and flesh golems put up a wall of rotten flesh that halted the orcs in their tracks, as an early foul knocked out super star black orc Malki to give us the upper hand. With Coach Gritter struggling with luck, Pig Sty Alley seized the initiative and turned the ball over for the win.”
