“GLT Old Teams Qualifier match.

1st Half

350 inducement money was spent for a wiz and Eldril. First kickoff, orcs receiving: Blitz. We got the ball and scored on turn 4 but lost Silent by a foul. Tempted to use apo on the MNG but decided not to. 1-0 on turn 4.

Managed to get the ball from the orcs in the next drive but we couldn't score as we left the sidestepping ballcarrier next to the sideline and got surfed.

2nd Half

Quick run to score on turn 2. After some unsuccesful blocking from the orcs we were left with a 2+ pass, 2+ catch, 2+ dodge, 2+ catch, 2+ leap and 2d blitz to score. Snakes didn't happen so we were up 2-0. Next kickoff gave us Perfect Defense and we had two blodge/ss guys next to the ball after the kickoff. Had a solid shot of scoring but snaked a dodge before pickup and orcs scored on turn 5 leaving them with 3 turns to score. Fizzed our wizard on our offensive play (to be honest, I just forgot the wiz after our 2-0 score. Could've probably used him more wisely.) 5 guys for the 3 remaining turns and quick snap gave us a big BH on the dt lino and after a few dodges we got the ball to orcs half. Thought I had it covered but BT troll gave a 1d with tackle on the ballcarrier. RR and skull left us with a simple dodge to get out of range of orcs.

Good game overall. Blitz gave the elves the advantage and after that it was elves game to lose. Elves almost ran out of players in the end but the st4/ag5 catcher was safe enough to carry the ball in the last drives.

Always fun to face old teams especially in Majors.
