Fun game. Over-all, we had about equal luck. Cronos had a few bad turns during first half (when I kicked) which enabled me to take a 0-2 lead, but that definitely evened itself out in second, which saw the Skaven countering and doing 1-2.

Noteworthy events include coach Cronos working his claw-equipped linerat 'kill kill' like a dog throughout the game, going for blitz after blitz after blitz, with me holding my breath. He killed one of my blitzers early on - the apotechary did his job, though, and after that the claw only broke through sufficient armour to cause stuns or KO:s.

The score very, very nearly became 0-3 in the middle of second half, when I after a decently successful drive only needed a pushback on a 2db block (with reroll) to score -- I roll quadruple skulls. As if this wasn't enough humiliation, the Mighty Under Ratz proceed to knock out my ballcarrier, throw some blocks, grab the ball, run, successfully throw a long bomb, and score. 1-2, and let me tell you, the dug-out of the Shadowless Hand was not a happy place to be at that moment, with more than one assistant coach trying to make himself invisible as a fuming head coach Pinkerton looked around for someone to blame.

After that, most of the fighting spirit left the Dark Elves. With no rerolls and nine players taking to the field in the upcoming drive, they managed little but to hold off the ferocious Skaven for the remainder of the half.

Last but not least, a memorial to one of the most frustrating players I've dealt with so far. Skaven line rat 'God speed', ugly enough to make a troll blush, cost me two blitzes and a great many number of blocks when even the hardy Dark Elves thought better of getting too close and personal with him. God speed wasn't deliberately targeted, nor was he assessed to be a key player - still, a great playmaker, somehow he always seemed to be where the action was.
In the end, toward the final turns of the match, Witch Elf Sabrae Aleanath decided enough was enough. She yelled out a challenge, dashed across the pitch, and leaped high into the air. God speed growled and raised his deformed, rotting arms to meet the attack, but it was too late. Sabrae's foot connected with the foul-smelling Skaven's neck in a powerful aerial kick. There was a dull snap, and God speed took a step backward and collapsed, never to rise again. May he rest in peace, and may a hundred Skaven rise to take his place.
