I was in a bad mood and cried like a baby as first flesh golem Sing died in the opening turn, then wolf Wulang Staff knocked itself out trying to sneak after the ball, before team mascot Cereal Bar got niggled. Pig Sty Alley fans everywhere were distraught to see the zombie carted off the field gnawing on its own flesh.

There was still an opportunity for a quick reply, Coach Mihme choosing a T7 touchdown and giving Wulang Staff an opportunity to showcase his pace. This caught me out - I'd wasted rerolls on meaningless joke blocks on Mihme's dominant opening drive and chewed up the final reroll setting up a perimeter around the wolf.

The wolf did the hard bit, breezing past the ghoul on the sideline, then failed on the final go for it.

His pace was key to our first TD, but it was the final one where the wolf really came into its own. A fireball worked wonders and Buddhist Palm knocked out the ball carrying ghoul. Wulang Staff dashed past markers, scooped it up, and got within range. Mihme's wolf failed its dodge, and Wulang Staff ran home the winner with rerolled go for it drama.

The team is now in the final, against one of two sets of lizardmen. Glory or death awaits!

Naturally, the badly hurt player was a 0spp zombie. Such is the way Nuffle distributes casualties to this side. There was no regeneration for either side out of 5 rolls.”
