“BBU received in the first half - and didn't field their deathroller. However, the dorfs still removed 2 elves from the LOS straight off the bat, and then stomped up the field; rookie coaching mistakes from Nelphine let the dorfs lunge forward on turn 4; only to suddenly see the dice go against the BBU. Not once, not twice, but three times the dorfs turned over on one of the initial actions of a turn (including 2 different double skull results), allowing the elves (who had crowded in like orcses) to snag the ball away from the dorfs and free Haunting Night to score on turn 8.

The second half saw Winter Whispers start with a quick 3 turn touchdown by sole lineman Ghostly Pine (who won MVP of the match, and got +Str as his reward!; this resulted in the ejection of the deathroller. And the dorfs again had the ball. This time, the elves snake eyed a GFI attempt to put 2 blodging sidesteppers on the ball, resulting in a stun. The dorfs promptly stunned the other blitzer, and without any sidestepping harassment, rolled up the field for a touchdown. Winter Whispers set up for another quick touchdown, only to snake eye the pass attempt; BBU promptly rolled another double skull, but this time, had a RR available to avoid disaster, and put 3 dorfs on the ball. Glittering Ice knocked a dorf onto the ball.. only to see it bounce into the hands of a giant S4 dorf! In the last turns, neither team was able to do anything useful with the ball at all, resulting in a 2-1 win for Winter Whispers.
