When Pantheon fell on the first defense, and the dark elves poured through the huge gap that was left in its wake, Coach Chainsaw held his head in his hands. With the wizard standing by in the Horrores dugout, the fans expected a return to the 'Saws normal form against darkies.
Last Man Standing roared, he was not settling for another 'Saws failure. This was a team that was getting used to winning and he intended to keep it that way. The team opened up a path and he arrowed through, collideing so hard with the ball carrying elf that its ribcage shattered. Blood sprayed over the field and the menacing orc blitzer, much to the delight of the fans.
The elves scored anyway as Orb got stabbed in the back - he will sit the next one out. The 'Saws quickly replied, and received in the 2nd half with things all square at 1-1.
It started to rain, but the orcs managed to advance the ball up the field. The dark elves fought back and knocked it loose, but in the melee many were knocked out and one was hurt. The depleted elves managed to get the ball with the help of a lightening bolt. Last Man Standing screamed in and smashed the ball carrying elf down and killed it stone dead, bringing more rapturous cheers from a delirious crowd.
The rain was teeming down now and the ball increasingly slippy. Bayonet failed several times to pick it up, meaning overtime beckoned, but not before a 3rd elf would die as Quattro decapitated him.
The main opponent in overtime was no longer the elves - but the weather. Despite Horrores QuinceaƱeros receiving the ball, the few remaining dark elves soon relinquished possession as the orcs continued to beat them up. However the frustrated 'Saws players simply could not pick up the ball. The crowd started to throw things at the team dugout, the target Coach Chainsaw. They were mystified at why the thrower - the most adept player at picking up the ball, was kept on the bench in overtime.
Just when it looked like it was going to a coin toss, Bayonet managed to bring the ball under control, and survived one last blitz before winning the one sided match.
2 wins in 2 consecutive games against dark elves. Who'd a thunk it?”
