first FUMBBL SMACK for coach Randal and a great Final played.
Bloody Sunday, as the commentators referred to this final after the match ended. 13 cas with 4 proud players left feeding the worms.
The underdog Slavers were a very hard opponent for this overpowered orc team. The end result set by an unbelievable play by Bullet Bub during turn 7 and 8 of first half. During this two turns the damned orc thrower did 3x 3+ dodges, a 5+ pick-up between 8 centaur legs, 3 or four goforits and 2 passes (the last one a 4+) with unerring accuracy...
The bloodlust of the centaurs and the lack of experience of coach Randal in such prestigious competitions misguided the deciding last blitz of the Slavers against the ball carrier instead of the lone orc player able to score...
I've got to mention a rule bug. Leader grants a reroll only during first and second half of a match. You may use a leader reroll during overtime only if you saved it during 2nd half... At the start of overtime the Chainsaws received a bonus reroll from kick-off AND illegally from Bullet Bub Leader skill.

A blood soaked field after an intense battle in which the 'Saws eventually emerged triumphant.
The tone was set early as a dwarf blocker was seriously injured before a rookie black orc killed. Barnacle stomped the minotaur out the game - initially killed, kept alive by an apothecary but with a serious injury. More players departed, and impressive work by Bullet Bub evened the score at 1-1 by the break with Team Chainsaw looking very strong.
However the orcs would have to survive a dreadful run of luck in the 2nd half when receiving.
It opened with a blitz, a bull catching the kick and the offense compromised. Pantheon came to the rescue but the battle for the ball, the wizard having a say, consumed all rerolls. A foul took the weaker bull out the match, the ref sending off Deuces too, and with ball in hand and wizard gone, the 'Saws looked in command.
Then everything went wrong.
First a skull on a block. Then a 2+ dodge failed. Then a double skull which killed Kosh. Then a failed go for it by Pantheon on a blitz needed to get Bayonet free of the bulls.
In the end we were left praying a bull failed a pickup to steal a win. It is dropped, leading to overtime with 10 on 7. We win the toss, and that decides the game.
Champions! Kosh, we salute you, even though you got yourself killed! Terrible winnings (a 2 rerolled to a 1) mean we're not replacing you any time soon.”
