“Well this match went horribly for a half but Nurgle complacency and some great rat recoveries got things going again.
We setup to sniff at a quick td but suddenly we were blitzed. The All Stars crowded us and we needed a decent turn to get something going. But double skulls (but rr'd) and a few 1s left us in dire straits. The Nurgle applied the blocking pressure and then a linerat went for a desperate saving pass to escape with a td. Alas he missed and the half descended into a beating with 8 of our rats ko'd by half time. A handoff gave the td to an ecstatic Chaos Warrior.
But 7 rats recovered at half time and we launched into our own blitz. I hadn't set up well forward though so when Skeetz reached the ball he was unprotected. Magnus took him down clinically but was not supported by his teammates. He was wrestled down and Throtz managed to pickup and get his first td after 21 games. The Chaos fans were not happy and immediately rioted. So with 8 turns to go Magnus picked up in the backfield once more. Skeetz raced after him. Magnus then tried to dodge away but was unaware of Skeetz's diving tackle and was brought crashing to the crowd. An easy shock td followed for Skeetz after a brief stall. Following that Throatripper started doing well which is a rare thing indeed. The crazed beast managed to badly hurt a Warrior and rip apart a rotter. We pressured the ball again as the momentum was with us and got the third td.
4-1 looked possible late on when the beastman carrier Magnus was yet again on his own but too much running was required to setup a good blitz and a linerat fell, before the Beastman broke away to pass it to Brian the rotter who caught and scored.”
