A tense game that the Pig Sty Alley boys were getting the better of, until a swing moment deep into overtime.
The ball carrier had been exposed. The wolf Buddhist Palm's eyes lit up, claws primed. A zombie muddled forward to ensure the frenzy was as easy as the initial hit, should it come to that. And the zombie falls, snakes in the grass, and the team never quite recovers. The lizardmen sense the victory is imminent and an extra spring in their step - or should I say blocks - removes 3 players quickly from the field and the game is lost.
It didn't just come down to that one moment. Our one turn touchdown defense was poor, although stunty came into its own. In contrast, for our own OTT attempt, Ulrik's setup was nearly impossible to break despite having fewer players to defend with.
Also the zombies, until the final moments, stood up well to the mighty blow of the sauri, while we managed to remove 2 from the field before overtime.
The wizard also worked wonders, allowing us to steal on the lizard's 2nd half play. Good and bad luck was out in equal measure for both teams overall. Sadly in the end it did feel like it was the snake eyes that cost us the match, a frustrating end to a positive run in the tournament.”
