All our tds had their moments of doubt but the rats came through. At the start of the match the Raiders coach was worried seeing the impressive 7 strong beasts in the side against them. But the recent demise of their ball carrier and an urge to get the ball to young saurii helped us. We couldn't even take down their LOS players at the start so setup with just Throatripper in blocking contact. Skeetz scored the first quickly but had to skip past some rapidly covering skinks. The crucial steal for the 2nd came after the saurus carrier had to escape from rats crowding his cage but then leaving space for Throatripper to take him (and itself) down before a linerat caught the ball. Krikit another linerat received a handoff and surged forward but a Saurus took him down. But unsupported the lizards couldn't stop Skeetz regain the ball and score after a brief stall. A bout of kos by the Saurii on our rats started and throughout the match many of the Raiders repeatedly had to nurse their heads. Hugruck was then seriously injured by a fan with a rock and the apo could do little to help him. The lizards had a couple of turns left in the first half but the skink carrier was left open and easily wrestled down. A surprise gfi then led to another skink to be injured before he could try to practise passing.
Second half we had only 6 skaven on the pitch and so a Saurus who had picked up the ball scored quickly. After that we were worried if we could avoid losing the ball in the next drive and after some hesitant play at the back Skratz was knocked down before he could get through. Thankfully Skratz's and Skeetz's mutations both proved crucial for taking the 3rd after the ball was amongst tackle zones Skratz dodged in and got the ball to Skeetz to escape for the td.
Vilut Ikus's wrestling skills will be missed after his collar bone was crushed by a Saurus late in the match, and he is forced to retire (ripped apart by his teammates). Good match and the Raiders first 3 win run for a long time.”
