We win the coin and kick first. The kick goes into the crowd and they get touchback. They get the ball on a bull centaur and keep it safe. They draw first blood on their T3 as they BH a norse lineman. We try to put some pressure on the ballcarrier on our turn 3, which pays off as we get a 2d blitz on him on turn 4, but fail to get him down. It's still fine, I've got em guardbox'd pretty well. I get him down on turn 5 and the ball breaks loose. Really, the ball bounces so that no one's next to it and it was my last action of the turn. They get it on a hobgoblin, which I could knock down on my turn 6 but I try to frenzy him into a better position and fail to get another knockdown even with a reroll. They proceed to move almost an entire field with the ball and instantly i'm in a really bad position. I can't get the bull holding the ball down, but I get 2 guys on him to make a TD a bit less likely. They make it though, and it's 1-0 for the CD when entering 2nd half.
There's 9 norse vs 10 Cdwarf players on the field, nothing impossible here. We get the ball up, but their kick was deep and we can't advance much. I make a risky, yet like-a-boss-like chainpush into the crowd move and BH a dwarf on my turn 2. I don't cover up for it so well and my ulfwerener gets crowded too. My ball-carrying runner gets knocked out on a blitz and my other runner gets knocked out on a failed GFI on my turn 4. I just can't get the ball up and safe, and I run out of players on field. On turn 6 I have only two players, one of em stunned, and I think that's game. They walk the field with a bull and score 2-0 on their turn 8.
I think I made some cool plays in this game regardless of the outcome. Had a few rolls gone differently, the game could've ended with totally different numbers on the scoreboard. In any case it was a well played game on the CD side and I thank you for an exciting and fun game.”
