#11 Furgis Fellblade – Smashed Ankle (-MA)
#13 Sket Longscar – Dead (RIP)
Veteran Eastern Conference Rd 4

In a throw down of two of the conferences big hitters, the Teabaggers took on the rival Slaughter House.

With 370K in inducements, the 'Baggers went for maximum carnage, and Wilhelm (for a second high ST claw) and a bribe. The strategy: with a bit of luck they might keep the numbers even and use their mobility to outflank the dorfs.

They received the kick facing off vs. SEVEN standfirm players, a perfect defense and the ball sitting on the LOS/sideline guarded by a blodge sf DIVING TACKLE blocker. WTF? Despite this setback Cheney managed to wrestle the bugger to the ground and the overcommited Slaughter D couldn't prevent a sweep up the left sideline. The poor circumstances meant they couldn't foul, but the deathroller had no problems koing a couple Norse on fouls and hits before he got ejected. It would be the only Dwarf member to leave the pitch all game.

The Dwarfs received with 5 turns to equalize, but the Norse defense was up to the task. In fact, the desperate attempt at the score opened the door for a counter attack, and the Teabaggers were just a 4, 3 with rr away from going up 2-0, but it wasn't meant to be.

Second half the Slaughter House began to earn their moniker. They marched up the field laying out the Norsemen left and right. BHing the Troll, KOing a bunch more players. On turn 4 they went for the endzone but the goalline tripped up the runner as all their rrs had been burned early on gratuitous blocks for PO chances. The Norse swarmed back (well, if you can call five guys a swarm) and actually took the ball away from the dwarfs. But the score was inevitable and the House tied it up before regulation.

The Teabaggers earn the tie (and then some, what an uphill slog!) and stay in the running for the conference lead.

Interesting side note: Norse fouled 5 times with a dp and massive gang fouls with nary a player removed and never needing their bribes. The dwarfs fouled SEVEN times, removed 2-3 players, and also never got ejected until the last turn (when the ref glady took a dwarf kickoff-bribe). Coach One-horn demands a league investigation into the incompetancy of the ref!
