“The band plays on! The percussion section got drilled early on and the band lost its Bace Druhm rythm. The Blood Money Tide rolled, but somehow the melody of obstruction stayed with them, puuting off the initial score to just before the half. The kickoff was received and through a lucky break in the piece, Tenor Sax scored a sexy touchdown to lift the team's spirit an entire octave. The team knew the rest of the medley would be a tough run, with little rests within the beat. They knuckled down and played an inspired staff and held the Money short of midfield and forced the final play, a long pass to the end zone in very sunny weather. The pass failed, and the band accepts the tie and looks toward the next measure with minor misgivings of not having their Bace back.”
