My bogey team got off to a fairly decent start receving and in the end managed to stall until a turn 8 score. Three DE KOs came back (all thanks to the babe as they rolled threes), while the sole KO for the Funk remained sidelined (though their claw/mb did regenerate from death). However! Nuffle would flip the tables! What started out as 10 vs 10 during the Funk's final first half turned into 8 vs 11 in Nurgle's favour! Some hard hitting, a fan rock, plus an awakened Funker made numbers at the beginning of the next half very interesting indeed.
Second half was very much a topsy turvy game. Some funny rolls both ways meant that although the Funk got ONE square off from scoring, some heroics from Rebellion knocked out the ball carrier and siezed the ball. Some more elves leaving the pitch and a critical double skulls that led to the surf of Rebellion out of the endzone meant again the Funk were in with a chance. However, it was down to Zero and his dodge ag5 antics to save the day and hold onto the ball despite the blitzes the Funk threw at him in the dying stages.
Special mention goes to Karate Flop who was the only elf to last the whole game on the pitch - even entertaining the Beast of Nurgle for the back end of the game.
Thanks to headcoach beaverblitz for an entertaining game.”
