After a first tournament failed on first round, Tolosa Nightmares came here with quite a lot of confidence, facing rookie flings.
But it was much more difficult than what the bookmakers had predicted.
Both teams were ultramotivated, each half started with a perfect defense. The humans only took advantage thanks to a weak fling block - he got smashed while trying to hit the tall guy in front of him. But the event made coach Rabe ask his players to use the secret weapon : spiked gloves. Knowing the height of their fists, no doubt it would be efficient.
In a high-tension second half Bamboki and her friends manage to get a draw. And overtime comes with flings outnumbering humans by 8 to 6 !! Unfortunately a good kick (from Albert Ginesty, now officially kicker of the team) and the too high length of the match which caused the trees to root destroyed the last hopes of our opponents, who still fought bravely until Pierre Baudis managed to get the ball again.
