“A fun game against Vamps. My debut with Lizardman and in ranked. The Champions did enough with the 6 Saurii mostly controlling the blocking.
Sandor the Vamp received a handoff and dashed straight up the pitch. He had a little help but Diablo easily took him down as he chased. Outeiro took the ball and changed sides to move along with protection. Meanwhile lonely Velocidad was badly hurt. We made attempts to practise a Saurus to grasp the ball but it couldn't manage it. Sandor and Ludz also escaped being pushed into the mob as Diablo acted dumb when he had his chance. We missed more surf attempts in their endzone but eventually Pintxo moved off for a turn 8 td. 4 vampires were ko'd, one from a bite. But 3 came back.
Second half a Saurus pickup again failed and Loco was killed by a thrall! Pintxo took the ball but a Vamp took him down. The Vamps did some good work hypnotising and stalking around and Zlad got the ball to one side. He appeared blocked but got the ball to Sandor. Alas for them Sandor needed a bite so was slowed down and smahed around. We took over and Outeiro made it 2-0. Ultimatos also got some vengeance for our fallen as he knocked Ludz's head from his shoulders. Fun game and though the Saurii were clumsy the Champions start well.”
