“The Bommaz first game brought them face to face with The Axe Masters, a Norse team looking to end their recent spell of poor results. With heavy rain forecast, the match wasn't looking great for either team even before the starting whistle. An early (and particularly violent) assault by the Bommaz left the Norse team with only ten men after Viltis was torn apart by the Orcs. This led to a fourth turn touchdown for the Bommaz, with the Orc's Blitzer Bogrot Smashknee charging down the Norse thrower in his endzone and intercepting a hurried pass attempt. Bogrot continued to take every opportunity to open up space in the Norse backfield and was finally rewarded with a second touchdown seconds before half time.
The second half saw fumbled passes and tripping players slowing play to a crawl. Some great foresight by the Norse catcher Magnet Arms finally allowing him to charge the ball from the huddle to the endzone in turn five. The last few turns saw a rough charge by both teams, but once again the weather stopped all attacks before they even began. The final whistle signalled the Orc victory and the end to a thoroughly enjoyable game.

A most enjoyable yet tough game, a great opponent and good fun. Hopefully a rematch can be scribbled into future fixtures. :D”
