“The Raiders just can't get a win these days. Here it was well within our grasp but cruelly snatched by a remarkable final turn change. Good game though.

We did quite well on the blocking front, hounding the Norse offence. After some successful actions in first half turn 7 a gfi took out one of the Norse. Their carrier Gunnarr was left exposed. Headcrusher went in as we saw a chance for a defensive td. But he frenziedly pushed him along two squares with sidestep getting him closer to our line! A Norse blitz got him 1 square closer so he managed to dodge away, gfi twice and score! But Skeetz did score a lovely one turn td after sidestepping in response and we ended the half up on numbers.
After a half time break and then a riot we advanced. After holding things up nicely we scored in turn 6. A bit rash as I could have held out for another, especially as the Troll had been taken out (but saved from death) by Headcrusher.
After a long kick Frey sprinted forward and went for a tricky short pass that didn't go to the Norse plan. The game seemed over and Throt Lobitz attempted to finish things off with a 3rd Raiders td. But his thrower hands failed him and even the quick pass was too much as he fumbled! Without a rr Oden did two 1d frenzy blocks on Throt, Frey did a short pass which Gunnarr caught, and Gunnar did 2 gfis to equalize! Both halves he did great work to score exactly at the limit of his range. A shock to us but remarkable to see.”
