“Only a little experience from an extra game separated Blitz's lineup from being identical from our Champions. An interesting challenge.
They were hard to remove from the pitch, had dodgy skinks, and were more effective in removing our players. But ours who remained did well and the Blitz just couldn't sprint around in the wet conditions like they wanted to.

At the start of the match Diablo and Hosea squared off, but both went dumb! After a Saurus went down tussling with one from the Blitz some skinks darted through to threaten our ball retrievers. But we moved some players back and a couple of turns later had ko'd a couple of our little brethen. With no opponents kept back Velocidad got through with some support for a td. Hosea did try to dodge after him but the big guy was easily felled.
With 3 turns for the Blitz to equalize we had 9 v 11 (after last turn hits) but the ball was initially dropped before Habakkuk got it and advanced on his own. He was easy pray fror Diablo but managed to stay up and even avoid the prehensile tail! But we were glad to see him fail a handoff. 1-0 at half time but we came back with just 7 players. Leyenda had been forced into retirement with a seriously bashed head.

We were able to get numbers near the carrier. After an unneccessary skink dodge that failed Superiore had a chance to take the carrier down which he took. Loco snatched the ball, aiming for a surprise defensive td. But he was brought down with one of the opposing Saurii catching the scattered ball! With time running out it had to sprint towards our end zone and he slipped in a pothole covered in water! Velocidad took the ball and Tlazconqua grabbed it when Velocidad was brought down. The win was ours, but not before a foolish skink took on Diablo and was killed!”
