“The News Team were again plunged into an intriguing conspiracy that was roughly half-an-hour long if you counted the ad breaks. They'd been given a tip-off that a shadowy cult was "recruiting" people for some unknown purpose, and through using their contacts, a little bribery and a lot of dangling people out of windows by their ankles, they'd found the headquarters of the place. Hesitantly, Sissons knocked on the door, which opened a couple inches to allow a shrouded face to see the Team.
"Who's there?"
"Hi, we're with the News Team and we're investigati-"
The door was slammed on his face, and Sissons would be the first of many News Team casualties of the journalistic assault on the house. They didn't know what was inside, beyond the truth, but that no longer mattered. Axeman swung at the door with his powerful axe, which did open the door before it rebounded and dug into his spine
"This could be our Watergate!" yelled Roarwrath over the sounds of battle before she was toppled by a charging wolf. Krishnan looked up with a sense of determination: The BAFTA would be his!
When the dust cleared the following day, the News Team remembered little except what had been recorded by the camera crew before they were also concussed. It appeared to show a series of implausible long passing moves were used to secure the house, with a wolf tripping over his own feet at a crucial moment. When they returned to inspect the damage, it was no longer there.
No, no, wait, it was, they just checked the wrong side of the street.”
