“The second time we have faced Norse. Another match that started in troubled fashion but we recovered and got a good result.
Jesiah received and moved just within range of Brusquefoot's (blodge sidestep runner) influence. Aranold failed to get him down so Jesiah dodged away but snaked a gfi! We were in trouble as Brusquefoot took the ball. But after moving across he was exposed to a better blitz from Aranald, though the blitzer also fell near the ball. A norseman still retrieved it but he was also brought down. Wilhelmus took the ball back and as various Norsemen were ko'd (one badly hurt) we were able to advance and get the td. The Norsemen couldn't get the better of us in the blocks which was crucial.
Second half Surlyhand was setup within Gevehard's range in a similar error to ours from the first half. After a desperate failed pass we managed to take control and other than dealing with tricky sidestepping we did well to get the 2nd td. Fine work also needed from the apo to save Wilhelmus's serious injury. Good game and the Plebeians march on.”
