“We suffered a couple of player losses today against the hard hitting Chaos Dwarfs but after a 2-0 halftime score we looked good for the win, until last moment disaster!
We started the match with Jesiah holding the ball quite central and a wide line in front of him. After an early ko by Fato we were confident until Aranald rushed ahead recklessly and was killed with a Cwarf mighty blow. The apo was uselessly drunk and could give no aid. It then took some careful adjustment but Jesiah's pace got him over the td line.
Nordiques setup and Aldo and Wilhelmus charged forward to threaten their carrier. The hobgobbo had appeared agile but he was tripped and tumbled to the earth. This was our big chance and as the way was cleared Wilhelmus scooped up the ball and scored our 2nd!
The Cwarfs didn't try to score so it seemed victory would be ours but a fan seriously injured (and retired) Ludewicus with a rock and a blocker badly hurt

2nd half we were down on numbers but after a long kick it took till turn 5 for the Nordique to score.
Jesiah took the ball to the middle of the pitch, a centaur got through to him and managed to bring him down. Then turn 8 we threw the win away with nuffle's help. The Ogre just needed to push a Bull Centaur to get things clear and maybe give Jesiah chance to pick. But Fato went weak, just made both down and rerolled to double skulls! A rookie hobgobbo then dodged, picked up in a tackle zone and pulled off a passing move to another who dashed to the line! 2-2. I should have perhaps just stood up the thrower and not used the Ogre. Couldn't expect those Ogre and hobgobbo rolls though.
With a final one turn attempt we managed two pushes but Wilhelmus couldn't make the dodges near the endzone. Plenty of twists in this match but the Plebeians go home frustrated. ”
