“Shrieking Bloodstorm goes for their usual haphazard offense in the first half.. and by failing various key rolls (although not crazy rolls, 3+ with re-roll type of thing), give the ball away to the Slann. They then try to bull through with another attempt, but, again, a failed dodge prevents the protection of the ball carrier at the end, and continually forgetting that fend cancels frenzy prevents a safe touch down attempt, and another failed dodge means no 3+ (with rr) 3+ (with rr) 2+ (with rr) 2+ 2+ (with rr) attempt at scoring.
The second half actually goes better; the Slann stall a bit, but are forced into a bad situation involving forced leaps with no rr available to score; and succeeding, a riot gives Shrieking Bloodstorm 4 turns. Ziaslees scores a fast one turner due to grab, but, although the Slann go up for a risky third touchdown, their gambit pays off - Shindahl is unable to get a shot at the ball to tie the game, and the Slann succeed on a 2+ 2+ 2+ 3+ 2+ passing play to score. Yet another riot gives Shrieking Bloodstorm 2 turns to score again, but with no re-rolls and early skulls, nothing comes of it.. except Zekstalk, on the 64th block of the match (52 with mighty blow) manages the first cas for the lizardmen!
Very well played hungrygrue, thanks for the match!”
“That pretty much sums it up! A great one turn TD that got off to a poor start with a both down/pow that had to be RR and several dodges but then smooth sailing to make it 2-1. The riot then kept it close. A blitz instead there and it could have been tied up perhaps. Maybe next time!”
