“We were gutted to lose this one but there were some shocks here. We almost got something despite disasters in the 2nd half after a strong start.
The Plebeians put up a great defence first half and after some scraps (when the apo was called to patch up Gotwinus for the next drive) had a chance when the carrier was taken down. It looked like we may even get to go for a defensive td but a magnificent Bull blitz and pickup saved them. After they got confident again a hobgoblin misposition meant just a push by Wilhelmus on the hob carrier still prevented a td as he was too far from the line. However in turn 8 Wilhelmus was blocked and niggled!
Then next half we started with optimism but the Chaos Dwarfs had two blitz results from two kicks! We tried but we had skulls, gfi fails, drops. While centaurs picked up easily throughout the match though the Mino did go out after a clash of heads with Fato. We still had chance to win but twice our threatening blitzer was taken down near their endzone by a BCentaur. Then the last turn attempt we still had to score didn't come off as a hobber was knocked away but the Centaur prevented the pickup. The rerolls needed in the first 3 turns were well missed. Still close, but it was an unfortunate day on the pitch for the Plebeians after a promising situation.”
