“Two dead mean and a narrow defeat against the foul creatures. Second painful disappointment for the Plebeians in a row. No blitzes suffered at kickoff today but a few players have to look at themselves hard for their screw-ups. Despite that it was a close match, fun for the fans, and we did some solid blocking.

First up it took the ghoul a couple of chances to pickup and so Gotwinus and Aldo tried to pressure him and a wolf. But "woof" delivered a brutal blow into captain Aldo's hip. The apo had to be ready at pitchside to patch him up. Six times in all through the half we had a player trying to block or trip their ghoul to the floor but each time him or a Wolf dependably kept us away from claiming the ball and Prey for Death scored after a stall. At least at the start of the second half we were players up with Gowinus's blow to Wrath's knee and also badly hurting another zombie being our biggest hits. A wolf regen'd a fine strike on him too.
We came out looking for the equalizer. We got it after causing some kos and Jesiah emerging from a cage, but didn't delay after brave debutant catcher Ulrik was killed by a Flesh Golem!
On their final drive the Necros setup 3 players down. We had a good chance to get somethng here but straight off players were knocked down and Root Fletch did the most despicable foul play I have ever seen, which killed poor foolish Malbert! The ref laughed at the mess created. Malbert stood up and joined the opposing necromancer on the bench... Then the ghoul passed to the remaining WWolf, definitely the Necros had done well on the ball. We still had chance to halt them but inexplicably before we could adjust the supposedly Gotwinus tripped over his own bulk and we were left behind.
