[145] Rookie League XI

This game was savage. The Vamps came expecting blood, and they got it in bucketloads. On the first turn one of the vamps savaged a thrall and left him badly hurt - and things only got worse from there!

The first half was a festival of absolute violence. Thralls were carried off by the dozen and at the end of the half there were two players left on the pitch.

Second half dawned much the same way - six players managed to line up - but the vampires didn't quit and some clever hypnotic gaze work saw the Chaos Dwarf ball carrier get sacked. But numbers prevailed and a second touchdown followed.

The vamps received a kick and heroic vampire Robert H. Positive went on a reckless, high risk, high reward run, dodging this way and that, surviving blitzes and retrieving the ball when knocked down - he made it to just squares from the endzone before he was tripped up by a horrible Hobgoblin...

A crazy bloodbath but some good moments all the same - thanks for the match numbersix!

“There was this about vampires : they could never look scruffy. Instead, they were... what was the word... deshabille. It meant untidy, but with bags and bags of style.” - T. Pratchett
***

The sudden emotion of the kickoff filled the undead heart of the vamps from the first round... and so one lost control and seriously bite a poor thrall!
So much for vegetarianism!

Thereafter the blood started to flow copiously... much to the pain of those who opted for selfcontrol!

Later on the vamps couldn't but step aside from the great charges of the unstoppable bullcentaurs and give way to the meticulous planning of the Hats.

Drunk with blood smell, at last Robert H. Positive shook away his torpor and lightheaded rushed almost to the endzone... uh... Not his.. he went in the right direction!

A nice game indeed, with many good actions - thank you for the game KD
