“Mate,I feel your pain, but some of that stuff did plainly not happen.
1. I never dodged my ball carrier in the first half and neither performed a hand-off either. Apart from that my block dice in the first half was far from stellar. Besides the armor/injuries roll your dice was far from bad in the first half. You performed several 1-dice blocks and even at least 3 -2d blocks without as well as dodges without producing a turnover until very late in the half. That TD surely was not build on luck.
2. You had bad dice in the seond half, but you did not roll 4 skulls but 2 skulls and than a 3 on the loner roll (means your RR was not used; 50% that this will happen with a big guy). I really did not start those 1d-blocks unless I had a reroll or it was not very crucial. I felt safe enoough at that point.
Anyway, I still think it was an enjoyable match and I know that nobody likes losing heavy. You should depend less on your big guy though. The skulls were not fortunate, but you were also begging on it, relying on the troll too often early in the turn.
Anyway, I still think you are an enjoyable opponent and I wish you more luck in the future. ”
“Well that was a slow meat grinder - all to lose 0-3 and again the dice slapped me all the time.
A slow start by the opposition even with taking a player out in the first drive. Which then saw several tactical plays without the ball moving forward. Then it all happened most players were either stunned or down and he was able to push to chaps into the crowd. A quick dodge and a hand over and it was , so to speak, all over. TD and they had the lead.
The second half could not of gone much worse. Thankfully not to many injuries but facing a single dice pow's for most of the 2nd half demoralized even the crowd. With players down and the ball in a dangerous position the guys had to take several risky blocks; these ended up neutral with pushing or both down.
The second turn summed up this game and I picked up the dreaded 4 Skulls of Nuffles. Only to be revisited by a pair later after burning my rerolls in an hopeless defence.
It was a matter of time before they dodged, skipped and blitzed there way through. With ball in hand and most of my players lying on the floor it was too easy.
A game for the dice but thankfully no one injured........there is always next time!
