“Lustrian Challenge VI Qualifier III Round 2:

Truly an epic game. It started with a short kick and a blitz - and a poor turn by us followed. The ball was free, but rescued by our skink. A lightning bolt knocked it free again. We had the ball, but a 3+ dodge and 2gfi blitz knocked down the skink again and the ball was free. We made a mistake then - picking up the ball along the sidelines, but not risking the gfi to move away. Another 3+ dodge and 2 gfis gave the player needed so that John could be surfed and he was...the ball tossed back to the prestigor. Now he made a mistake...and a chainpush set us up for the long 2 gfi blitz - and the ball was free yet again! We finally gained control of the ball and had a chance to score - but needed 4 gfis over 2 turns with the skink...no RRs and failure (and failed pro) - meant no score.

Second half started with a blitz for us...however, we failed to keep the ball, it went back and forth for several turns until the nurgle came away with the ball and charged downfield. We were outmuscled - Tommy Trucker was dead...we were defeated.

However, on Turn 7 we did KO a nurgle warrior...who did not wake up...so we had a chance. On Turn 8, we went for the one turn attempt, the skink took the ball and headed upfield, past the tackler...failure - but saved by team RR...then last gfi into the endzone failed again...pro worked!

1-1 heading into OT. We received and no RR vs 1 nurgle RR, but John Little took the ball and other than a double skull on our first block, it was all John weaving through the defense as he ran coast to coast for the winning TD.

It was a great game - played well by Stonetroll who out-played me. However, Smoked Woodstock proved his worth and we move on.
