Fifth Mission: Successful
Squadron Damage Report: Nil
Net Experience Gain: +11 SPP; Delta I gains Dodge skill.
Tactics Debrief: Defeat in the coin toss led to the Kruelty losing a lineman on the first turn due to a LOS knock-out. This was soon neutralized by an undisciplined orc foul which resulted in the ref removing a green skin. The humans pulled the line of defense back towards their end-zone, minimizing blitzes, taking one attempt at the ball, then allowing the orc score after four turns. Sufficient time remained afterwards for the speedy human squad to score as well, sending the teams back up to 11 each for the second half.
On the second offensive drive, wisdom saw the humans pause for one turn and present a wide front line before attacking, allowing the orcs to spread out their defense. Speed was then used to attack one side line then move back into the middle, scoring with several orcs out of position or tied up. After a human KO, the orcs again gave up numerical superiority with an unnecessary and unskilled foul, making their counter score that much more difficult. An orc ball carrier pinned in his own end was forced into a desperate pass play. The receiver was successful in the catch, but so was the following human tackler. Usually the nemesis of a human squad, victory against the orks was achieved. This game will be entered into the ‘Codex of Tactics’ as a template for an anti-orc assault. Praise the Emperor.
