“A violent game - the ref had taken the day off! The Rotters came to brawl and dealt out a string of blocks and 9 nasty fouls to the Ancients, but praise be to Sotek, the lizard's armour held and when it did break, the apothecary was on hand to fix it. The lizards rode their luck at times, especially with injuries - the gang fouls frequently stunned the lizards but only managed to remove two players.


Spending most of the time stunned and fouled, the Lizards didn't get much mileage from their strength advantage, but the speedy skinks proved their worth, capitalising on a Rotter's hands falling off during a pick up to sneak a turnover touch down in the first half. The second TD was driven home by a sideline cage that pushed through some stout Rotter defence. The third TD came when the Rotter ball carrier was sacked on the halfway line. Nimble work by Clever Lizard saw him retrive and throw a pass to Guardian Lizard deep in the Rotter half, who ran home a final turn TD.
