“A good effort in the first half from the Plebeians but after some early manouvering and optimism there was a dismal performance in the second half against a surprisingly agile Dwarf side which got stronger as the game progressed.
Jer received and instantly passed to the stronger blitzer Benny. Some linesman started getting knocked down while new recruit Mucker "The Beast" stood dumb at the spectacle. Paulus, Jesiah and Wilhelmus though immediately rushed to harry the carrier. He got away down the flank, and again shrugged off Wilhelmus before a risky run upfield. Gotwinus and Jesiah got to him but he resisted them and nimbly dodged away for the score.
Gotwinus received, and seeing one way blocked switched sides. The Dwarfs couldn't cover enough and he made the equalizer at half time after barging Runa from his path.
Other than "The Outsider" being ko'd things looked positive as Gotwinus took the ball 2nd half. He didn't pick it up cleanly though and then Mucker "The Beast" was brought down by a Dwarf despite being 3 v 1! Outlet Wilhelmus was blocked so we switched sides again. But after getting the ball to Wilhelmus we left him fairly open and he was taken down. Gotwinus snatched the spiked ball back up hoping to get to the line. Alas a trollslayer jumped on top of him to leave him out cold and Larrus, another blitzer also had to leave the pitch. We looked in trouble but Wlihelmus could still score! With some trouble he moved the Dwarf out of the way but fumbled the ball. He was then stunned. But Gotwinus could STILL get up and make the score. Instead he fell to the earth like a bag of spuds with a little Dwarf help. After making another ko (and another apo'd!) Runa picked up, dashed forward and successfully passed the ball to Benny who made another td. More kos and a badly hurt impact on a disappointing Mucker let to defeat. The Dwarfs had very impressive ball skills and also reliable in the block in a match that looked very different a little earlier.
