“A rematch against the Lizardman team "Swamp Beasts". With a distinct strength and rating advantage to the Lizards, the Bommaz knew that play would be tough and even gaining an extra reroll on the handicap table didn't improve the outlook.
The first half saw a lot of blocking and fouling from the lizards, who after six turns ran their first touchdown thanks to Little Wheel, with his sprint ability taking him 3 gfi spaces. The remaining turns in the first half consisted of more of the same, with the Orcs unable to hold onto the ball enough to get it upfield.
The second half brought little respite, but seeing his chance to break through, Bomma Blitzer Rottentoof Fistchewer grabbed the ball and charged diagonally upfield, pursued closely by the four-Skink tag team. After surrounding Rottentoof and stripping the ball from him, the Skinks were amazed when the next turn saw Rottentoof blitz his way back through them, retrieve the ball and dodge away to score the Orcs equaliser (Possibly the most amazing move I've ever made)!
The following turns saw Little Wheel once again dodging up the flank and sprinting into the clear to take the lizards to a 2-1 lead. With the clock ticking, the next kickoff saw Grimmjaw Woundopener charging the length of the pitch to attempt a second touhdown, only to trip and fall entering the endzone, thanks to a sudden blizzard that had moved in. With no hope of a draw left, the Orcs simply prepared themselves for a final turn punch-up which the Beasts duly delivered.
Yet again the luck-o-meter for the game is way off. With the exception of my wonder-move (which was skill, not luck :p), the Bommaz would definitely mark this game as one of their unluckiest.
***
The slowest game I've had in a long time (over and hour and a quarter), which made getting bad dice and failing essential gfi's and dodges even worse. A good game with some memorable moments, but not one of my best.”
