Quick reflexes and a perfect kick netted the Batrachians the ball before the Necros even had time to realize the game had started. They rapidly fell back into a defensive position but the Slann simply reversed on them. In desperation they unleashed a surprisingly effective wizard who removed two of three targets, perming a Loner and KO'ing ball carrier Teejay.

Alethkar subsequently managed to get the ball, but was far short of securing it vs. the versatile Slann. In short order the Slann took advantage of the virtually skill-less Warriors to recover the ball and score.

The Batrachian fans were so stoked about the score they stormed the pitch in vast numbers to start the 2nd half, stunning FIVE Shard Warrior players while protecting the Batrachians from any Alethkar fans. Needless to say, the Slann needed no other advantage (although they stunned two more players in the opening turn) to quickly secure and advance the ball for another score.

Although the Necros managed a mid-2nd score, they left enough time for the Batrachians to push the ball across the goalline for a 3rd TD.
