“With rain drenching the field, the Bommaz stepped up for their second Orc vs Orc game. This time however, the opponents were wielding a tougher team, with a number of tough skills (take a look) promising a formidable match for any team.
The game started with the Bommaz receiving the kickoff and pushing up the Underdogs' right flank. Rottentoof Fistchewer went for glory again, opening up a sizeable distance between him and the mass of Orcs still beating each other up on the halfway line. Unfortunately (as always), it wasn't quite far enough and Rottentoof was soon caught and stripped of the ball, causing it to bounce into the crowd. A rather overexcited Ogre who was hit in the face by the ball, threw it back into play behind the Underdogs' line. The rest of the half saw them retrieve the ball and slowly push their way upfield, but failed to gain enought yardage to score before halftime.
The second half saw the Underdogs' seize the initiative and push hard on the Bommaz left flank. A good number of blocks pushed the defenders out of the way and allowed Blitzer Heavy Gonz to charge through with the ball to score, the lame attempts of Longbomma to stop him on the line failing miserably. The final turns saw the Bommaz attempting to cage up, but losing the ball (after some pitiful rolling) and allowing the Underdogs another touchdown opportunity. As is always the case with Orc vs Orc matches though, Nuffle seemed to be in a mischeivous mood and caused Ingvar to fumble the ball into the crowd when attempting to pick it up to score and was thrown back into the Bommaz midfield. With Rottentoof in a position to receive a longbomb upfield and score, Sharpgrin took his opportunity for fame and glory and attempted to get the ball. Unfortunately he didn't realise his bootlaces were untied and he fell face first into the mud, leaving the game to finish 1-0 to the UnderDogs.
***
The first half didn't exactly go well for either team, with rerolls being used up quickly after a large number of skulls were rolled for dodges and blocks. Once again a couple of truly Orky events made this an enjoyable match against a great opponent.”
