“A very disappointing result for the Wind who were obviously overawed at playing such an experienced team of stars, even if they were missing two players due to injury.
The Wind started poorly, failing to pick up the ball, failing to catch, failing to block, and failing to dodge. The only thing they managed was a half decent defence that stopped the Anarchists from scoring more than 1 TD in the opening period.
The second period was slightly better than the first because the Wind's Treeman Oak Strongroot finally decided to show his face! With instant results, injuring an Anarchist with his first block of the game.
However, the Wind were again very inept, and turned the ball over to allow the Anarchists to score yet again.
Eventually, the Wind were able to piece together a spread out offense, and got the ball deep into Anarchist territory late in the second half. The Anarchists defended well, but were soon down to only 4 players on the pitch as Strongroot took care of another High Elf. The Wind delayed scoring just long enough to deny the Anarchist a third TD and then ran in the score.
Wind fans were not impressed with the poor showing of their team and it is reported that several thousand have cancelled their memberships in disgust.”
