“As with the last time we played skinks Hellmouth didn't perform well though Big King tried his best.
After fans ko'd a herder and skink with rocks the skinks seemed to be able to surround and smash our players in to the turf while the squigs were pushing around opponents like big jessies. Raptors were excellent. The skinks scored in turn 6 after ko'ing four but perhaps should have held on a moment longer. In response we charged forward with Groblit just managing to get the ball to Big King. The squigs set up to trip him but he conjured up the team's first impressive blitz by cas'ing the adept and leaping over Hiss to score.
Start of the second half Monkey ko'd a skink and we caged Big King. Surely despite the earlier failings we could now clean up. Alas Devil Rida was badly hurt, squigs started getting lusty and more players were pow'd out. Suddenly we were in dissaray but a squig blitz and an advance from Big King would have left him with a great scoring chance. But the squig acted a bit lusty and then Big King was hungry too so couldn't advance due to eating gobbo! Terrible few turns, he was then brought down and the last quarter of the game was just waiting for the skinks to win. Nuffle was against us today other than Big King's one good effort (and squigs waking up too late with good bites on t16). For that effort he was rewarded with extra strength! A true great.”
