“It felt like a good toss to win for the 11 brave Norsemen, known as Raw Messiah, and so it proved when with the first block of the game psyched up berserker 'Ox' killed Reavers linenan Gerhard Linebreaker. As one would expect the Reavers' captain Griff Oberwald looked to even the score by immediately landing his own blitz on Ox and such was the captain's anger he piled on trying to take him out; but Ox was made of stern stuff and strugged off the hit. Oberwald now found himself lying on the ground in enemy territory and the inevitable gang foul came but fortunately for the Reavers and their star player, Griff was only stunned by the boot to the unmentionables.

As the Norse pressed for an opening against the Reavers' well drilled defence Ritter von Baum landed a crunching tackle on Ox and the KO'ed berserker was stretchered off the field. Now the Reavers' defence started to click, led by Oberwald who personally took out three Norse including the pacey quarterback Sabastian. 'Surehanded' Gregor Meissen took his chance, sweeping in to scoop up the loose ball and he was away for a 1-0 half time lead to the Reavers.

With the Reavers receiving in the second half, and with superior numbers, their drive was unstoppable and Oberwald compfortably ran in the second touchdown. Final score Reikland Reavers 2-0 Raw Messiah.

Post match, inspired by the sheer ferocity of the Norse, Oberwald has been on boot camp with a bunch of barbarians, learning how to unleash his inner rage. The Reavers will be hoping this helps their star player continue to produce the match winning performances that have got the team off to such a flier!
