Turn 2... 4 knocked out, turnover on a 1/81 fail, and wizard already deployed.
Screwed. I scream to the altar of Nuffle, and he delivers.
Doomington, over confident, rerolls a push block looking to put the nail in the coffin. It comes back as skulls, the dwarf is badly hurt, and it goes backwards quickly from there.
With no rerolls, my 1D hits repeatedly bring down foes, whilst a flesh golem holds up the dwarves to prevent them from reaching a scoring position. A wolf steals the ball, and it is 1-0, and I'm astounded.
Then, short on numbers, the dwarves suffer repeat casualties, only the apothecary saving a death. Coach Doomington's misery is complete when he forgets to use his final apothecary on one of his best players, thinking it was another. Only 4 dwarves still stand by the end of the drive, and it was what I feared at turn 2 - a one sided beating. Luckily for me, Nuffle doled out the damage to the other team.”
