“this was one of those Games in which Nuffle was having a little fun.

AB Pos Universal Receivers won the toss, elected to receive and then managed to turn the ball over as a result of some good positional play by the Need Moar Rrs, some untimely 1s, a rapidly depleting team and a risky pass leading to an intercept. The Need Moar Rrs controlled the ball with a nice stall to score on turn 8. However it wasn't without consequences with one of the Rrs getting injured and two being spotted by the ref for an ill placed boot. They even managed to almost not score with a RR required at the end.

So the 2nd half started 8 v 8 (since the AB Pos Universal Receivers had a few in the KO and Injury boxes too) with the Need Moar Rrs justifiably feeling confident. Nuffle thought that this was just not on and the stream of 1s that the AB Pos's had received in the 1st half dried up and the Vamps managed to ELF around the field, put in a couple of timely Hypnotic Gazes and blitz the ball loose to even the score.

1 v 1 7 v 8 and the Need Moar Rrs still in the box seat to take out the game when the weather turns and it starts snowing hard. The kick lands close to the LOS and with fewer players on the pitch the Need Moar Rrs think that they have managed to put enough TZ and squares between the 3 vamps and ball. Not to be. Again a hypnotic gaze and a GFI blitz knocks the ball free. The Need Moar Rrs steal the ball back and the Vamps GFI and Hypno all over the place to again knock the ball out and with no thalls within a giants impregnator of the masters, Alan Ball does his dodge, shimmy pick and score to win the game 2-1.

sorat played a good game and must be cursing the fickle god. Nuffle, it must be said, did even things out with a 9 -2 Cas in the Need Moar Rrs favour for a total of 29 SPP and some nice skill ups. St5 Block Guard Warrior and a Blocking CPOMB one as well ;-)”
