With Helmut Wulf turning up for the humans, the vampire coach elected to receive the kick in the hope of getting a player or two out, scoring on T8, and forcing Wulf to appear for only one turn. This proved to be a very poor decision as Atomano swarmed the vampire team, locking down the thralls and making it all about the vamps. This is probably Wang's second most feared defense against vampires and it proved successful as the vampires failed to keep their desires in check and the humans despatched some thralls, too. With their numbers dwindling, Pale Skin, Chiseled Chin broke free and headed down the field. However, the two die-block blitz by the humans was rerolled and got the POW that they needed. From there, it was a simple task to move the ball with the elf-like catcher and race down field. There was a final chance to sack the ball carrier, and he was sent into the crowd, but the throw was kind (into the endzone) and the blitzer made the gfi's and pick up for the humans to score a T8 defensive TD.
Sadly for the dark-hearted ones, they were only able to field 6 players for the start of the second half as all three of the KO'ed vampires remained senseless. Legendary vampire lord, Pale and Brooding, tried his best (gave Mr. Wulf his one turn before BH'ing him) but despite his efforts, some humans being ejected by the referee, and some amazing thrall dodges and blitzes, it was never meant to be.
All credit to Coach Boomers, who played an excellent defense and took advantages of the tactical errors and lusty desires of the vampires. Hopefully we'll meet on the pitch again some day and my dark minions will show their "true" powers!”
